I worry that this is cultural appropriation when the SIG seems to be created by someone who appears to be caucasian, at least by name. It is similar, although not the same as a technique which was used in Europe in the Middle Ages. I forget its name right now. A roll of illustrated material was wound by the storyteller as they told the tale, and the pictures would change, illustrating the story. With so much, so recently brought to light about anti- Asian feeling, I feel that this is not timely and might be considered mis-appropriation of Japanese culture. Unless, of course, Walter is infact Asian, and in which case I apologise. I would love to hear more if I am to consider signing the petition. Said with compassion and the need to understand better, and hoping this will not cause a muck storm!
