Yes. COREN/NSE should play a key role in remodeling the engineering curriculum in Nigeria. Also the cost of registration is outrageous. If the curriculum is set right, five years of engineering studies should automatically qualify one to be an engineer.

After spending 5 years in college of engineering I shldnt spend another 4 years post NYSC relevant exeperince then pass through another hassle of project and registration before I can be referred to as an Engr. That also discourages people from pursuing their dreams. The engineering firmson their part are not making it any easy on prospective members.

Everything about COREN and NSE isn't about undergraduate, graduate or upcoming engineers anymore, this is evident in there registration processes. Student engineers should have the required technical expertise; Corp member engineers' place isn't just in the class rooms teaching mathematics; engineers are professionals and should be employed as such

Engineers are prime mover of the earth, so we have to tight our belt and take Nigeria higher in technology.

Both nse and coren are not helping Nigerian engineers, especially unemployed engineers and the registration to the body is too high.

The engineering profession has little meaning in Nigeria. The quality of graduates is very bad. While the relevant bodies do not help on the progress of engineering programs. Without creativity and innovation, I do not see how we can diversify our economy. WE SHOULD WAKE UP!
