They actually settled and the strike is over which feels completely surreal after everything we went through. I am honestly just buzzing right now because the instructors finally got what they deserve and it is honestly wild to think that our little petition played a part in that. Keep an …

We, the students, stand in solidarity with our dedicated instructors who are advocating for fair treatment and improved working conditions. As students who value the quality of education, we receive and experience daily that our instructors play a crucial role in our academic success and deserve to be treated with respect and dignity.

Our instructors work continuously and tirelessly to provide us with knowledge, guidance, and support, often under challenging circumstances in school and their personal lives. However, they continue to face issues such as wages, and heavy workloads including evenings and weekends. These conditions not only affect their well-being but also impact the quality of the education that they can provide to us.

I just refreshed the page and saw we hit a hundred signatures which feels honestly surreal because I honestly thought maybe ten people would care about this. My coffee is cold and my brain is buzzing but it is wild to see so many of you feeling the same frustration about the workload issues our teachers are dealing with right now.

Our teachers deserve to be given proper compensation for all the incredible work they do. It disgusts me to know the money I pay for my education barely goes to the people PROVIDING that education.

NSCC and its instructors are the backbone of lifting the economy in NS by training highly competent workers. They go above and beyond. Pay them what they are worth and nothing less.

I am a graduate from the NSCC Business Administration program. These teachers are amazing and do more for the students than any university. They need to be compensated fairly and properly for the amount they do.

I’m in the practical nursing program and I would like to graduate so I may start practicing to help with the nursing shortage. I’d prefer not to have a strike.

The undue stress caused by the looming strike has been affecting us students and staff greatly. Many of my peers come from out of continent and have to sacrifice so much to attend here. If staff aren't paid what they deserve and our education gets jeopardized, what was the point of opening the school?

Instructors and support staff being overworked, underpaid, and burnt out doesn't bode well for receiving a positive educational experience. We, the students, want fair wages and working conditions for our instructors and professional staff!

Supporting this petition wholeheartedly as an NSCC alumni. Our instructors are the backbone of our education, and it's high time they receive the respect and fair treatment they deserve. Their dedication shapes not just our academic journey but our futures.
