NPC Time to Change

I think that this is an important issue, particularly at schools where girls are initiated only a month or two after bid day. (My school initiates after a full semester.) Particularly for freshmen, there are so many new things happening that it is very easy to get swept along without realizing that you don't truly have a future with the chapter you got a bid from. We should want to keep girls in the NPC family, not force them out. I like the idea of ONE additional re-rush, hopefully it is considered.

I LOVE my sorority and I don't see that ever changing. But sometimes, for whatever reason people can make the wrong decision. I think that - especially if someone transfers schools or disaffiliates young, they absolutely deserve a 2nd chance to find out why going Greek is so monumental and positively life changing.

This would be such a great move for women who go Greek but then feel as if their chapter is not what it seemed during recruitment or even the first semester of membership. I can't tell you the number of Greek women who have said "if I could do it all over again" or "I don't feel like I belong here anymore" yet feel like they cannot disaffiliate due to the emotional and financial investments they've already made.

I totally agree! I had a negative experience with my sorority and they wouldn't even let me disaffiliate!

These girls shouldn't be shamed or be stuck with limited options if their first choice doesn't work out!
