We at the Ronnie Richards memorial fund are providing public placed heart defibrillators throughout Cornwall but have hit a barrier where we lose one in 5 to VAT, if we give it to a ambulance service its VAT exempt but as we helping the ambulance service and putting in public places where they can't reach quickly we get charged VAT. Lets stand up together and ask the government to change the law on VAT on life saving equipment, sign the petition to stop them putting lives at risk. Please get your friends to sign this as well. The more signatures we get the better chance we have of changing this and saving more lives.

It is honestly surreal seeing so many people connect with the struggle to keep these defibrillators in our communities without that ridiculous tax burden. I was just looking at the map of where we have units placed and thinking about how every single one of them represents a potential life saved which really makes me wonder why the system makes it so hard to just do the right thing.

My local club needed one of these and the cost was way higher than it should have been because of the tax. sort it out.

Every second counts in a cardiac arrest. stop making it harder for charities to get these into the public.
