The prenatal classes I took in berwick were wonderful full if great information !! I dint feel I would have been as prepared for labor as I was had I not taken the classes !!!thus round bd a huge loss to the community

I would not be the mother I am today without these prenatal and post delivery prohrams that were available to me when I had my son in May 2013. New moms are in more need today for face to face support more than ever.

The support you get from a hand on approach is far better than online will ever give a women! We cannot cut these services.

While it doesn't need to be mandatory, it needs to be available and offered to everyone!

Hands on classes are important and so is breast feeding.

While having realiable online resources would be useful, it is definitely important to continue having personal support available as the online world can be confusing and easily misinterpreted by sleep deprirved new mums who need a kind face just as much as they need the information.

I literally couldn't have breastfed without the public health nurse that called several times and came to my house with a scale and nipple shield. She called on day 4 when Noah still wouldn't latch and encouraged me to keep pumping and continue to offer breast first,and then came on day 5 with a nipple shield. I never cried so hard in my life as when he latched on with the shield. Actually,getting tears in my eyes now thinking about how's gratreful I am now for her,and I don't even remember her name. She even called again 2 days later to make sure we were OK and if we needed another visit. Its a sin iuf they cut out such a service

My daughter and her husband just had a baby and I think it's important that she and other Moms get the support they need.

It took several weeks to get to the point of exclusively breastfeeding my son, and without the help of these services, others may not be so lucky next time.

Very sad to see this happening- new moms need real support. The public health nurse was one of my biggest supports not just for feeding my child but also with helping me deal with other postpartum issues in a healthy way. Turning to online resources may not always be valuable as many sources are weak, out of date or untrue.

This is unacceptable, and a huge disservice to women, babies and families. The internet is a wonderful resource but it is in no way a replacement for face to face health and preventative health care, especially for parents and new babies.

It was only with the support of specialists that I was able to successfully breastfeed 2 of my kids. I was so very grateful this service existed. Please don't stop either of these services- they are duly needed!

I may not have been able to continue breastfeeding without the help and support provided by public health. Please continue offering the same programs.
