If you bought in Pembroke Lakes you did buy in an HOA...(PembrokeLakesHOA.com) it’s 35.00 bucks a year, but guest what it’s voluntary and you don’t have to pay, the rest of the paying members will pick up the slack. So the argument of having constant fees has no real basis here. You might be misinformed as to how the Pembroke Lakes HOA works and a lot of other folks might be as well..At least do the research before you make a decision.

Please remove your name.. unlike the HOA I am not misleading you nor guiding you on my personal gain. I have walked and spoken to over 300 neighbors many feel our rights have been stripped away. We have the right to vote we are currently following city ordinance.. by the way these restrictions include not having a basketball hoop not satellite never revised from the 70s.

Why are you signing this petition if you are not against this. Please remove your signature.. do you think it's fair for a small group with out community consent make this decision that impacts the entire community. This is not a dictatorship. Where was your right to vote for this. The deeds have expired. Please understand this. The voluntary HOA does not have code enforcement and still manage to harass neighbors on what they think is right. We are currently abiding by city code. I don't like shady people and try to pass this during a pandemic. Think twice about this HOA board of less than 3 people ...

I’m not here to argue but please think about what you guys are asking for by trying to shoot down Ordinance 2020-09. I own both an RV and a boat and have no affiliation to the HOA board or it’s officials but I support the ordinance. These restrictions were written by the residents not the HOA board as far back as the 1970’s in order to keep the neighborhood beautiful and our property value high. If we start allowing residents to store their boats and RVs in front of their homes it’s only a matter of time before someone runs power, water and electric to the RV and rents it out. Then someone will want to store a commercial trailer, then abandoned cars or a mechanic shop outta the garage then pretty soon we’ll basically turn into West Hollywood or East Pines. This is actually already happening. Everything listed above is occurring around my neighborhood near Taft and 118th Ave. The City of Pines has multiple locations for residents to store their RVs and Boats for about 70 bucks a month. Average cost of a home in pembroke Lakes is $400,000 or so , I have a hard time believing that someone who spends $400,000 on a home can’t budget $70 a month for storage of what is essentially a luxury item. Maybe the solution is for the City to provide more storage locations for its residents. The reason most of us bought homes in Pembroke Lakes is because of the standard of living and the beauty of the area which in turn was maintained for decades by the very regulations your trying to shoot down. The restrictions are minimal, the HOA is voluntary and the fees are 35.00 bucks a year, I think that’s a small price to pay to keep our area beautiful and our property values high. Remember these regulations were agreed to by the residents who originally started this neighborhood not the people who sit on the board, it’s just their job to uphold compliance.
