As Superintendent of the Southwest Vermont Supervisory Union, Mr. George Sleeman seriously violated the trust of the people of Bennington and our children. In light of the long term damage sustained by our community, the adverse effects on lives and careers caused by Mr. Sleeman’s illegal actions, the fiscal mismanagement of public funds and resources, as well as the circumstances surrounding his election, we, the undersigned, believe that Mr. Sleeman’s presence on the BSD Board is not in the best interest of our community. While we appreciate his willingness to serve, we ask that he resign his seat on the BSD Board.
