The legislature has officially abandoned SB6396. This result serves as a reminder that our constitutional protections remain resilient when we choose to defend them. I am grateful for the dedication you showed throughout this process and encourage everyone to stay vigilant regarding future legislative proposals.

WE MUST DEFEAT SB6396! The Washington State legislators need to hear the voices of "We the People" of the great state of Washington. We will not allow them to tread on our Constitutional rights to bear arms or to limit our ability to adequately and effectively defend ourselves, our freedoms, our communities, and our families. Thomas Paine stated "Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it." The 2nd Amendment to our nations Constitution states "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a Free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Unfortunately, some Washington State legislators are purposely and unconstitutionally infringing upon our rights by proposing SB6396 to pass further criminal laws on our right to bear arms and demonizing those arms based upon what they look like or how they function. Alexander Hamilton stated ""Little more can reasonably be aimed at with respect to the people at large than to have them properly armed and equipped." If SB6396 is passed, it will severely cripple our ability to be properly armed and equipped. These legislators are trying to criminalize our constitutional rights because they think folding stocks are dangerous, or magazines with more than 5 rounds will cause great danger, or because a rifle has a pistol grip somehow that is more evil. This piece of legislation does not provide the people of our state any further safety and the only people affected by such unconstitutional legislation are the law-abiding citizens. Ben Franklin said it best when he said "Those who would give up essential Liberty to purchase a little temporary Safety deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." Please sign this petition so that we may let our legislators know that we stand by our freedoms and will not allow them to tread on our 2nd Amendment rights any longer. George Washington, our first President and one of the most respected founding fathers in American history, stated "Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the people's liberty teeth keystone... the rifle and the pistol are equally indispensable... more than 99% of them by their silence indicate that they are in safe and sane hands. The very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference. When firearms go, all goes, we need them every hour." Tell Senators Kline, Fairley, Kohl-Welles, and McDermott “NO” to SB6396 by signing this petition and call your state legislators today to tell them not to support this or any legislation that is unconstitutional and infringes on our rights as Free American citizens to keep and bear arms!

Reaching this level of engagement confirms that people across our state are deeply unsettled by the direction of current legislation. It is clear that the commitment to protecting constitutional rights remains a priority for many who refuse to accept these infringements. This momentum highlights the weight of our responsibility to keep pushing for accountability.

Reaching one hundred signatures reminds me that many others share this deep concern for our fundamental rights. It is clear that we are not alone in our commitment to upholding the Constitution against these proposed restrictions. This is a quiet but steady start toward ensuring our perspective is acknowledged in the halls of government.

Reaching one hundred signatures will provide a necessary threshold of visibility as we prepare to confront the legislators behind this proposal. Please take a moment to ensure your networks are aware of the implications of SB6396 so we can achieve this objective before the legislative session progresses further.

Keep your hands off our rights! My rifle works just fine and it is my business what I own. Stop trying to control law abiding people.

Shall not be infringed. Plain and simple. Quit wasting taxpayer money on this garbage legislation.

These politicians have no clue how these guns actually work. A pistol grip does not make a gun more dangerous. Total nonsense.

Ridiculous waste of time. Maybe focus on actual criminals instead of taking away our ability to protect our families.
