One city,2 CLUBS with a river dividing us and them
You're either Hull FC or Rovers and the 2 should never be mixed
Tradition needs to be kept, some things are more important than money sort it out ffs!!

Many young players join the respective FC or KR junior teams because they are also supporters of the clubs, often brought up so. To play for the 'opposition' would be unpalatable!

So many players will now never be given a chance to progress. The main problem is theirs no A team rugby. It is well known especially forwards who are late developers and if you haven't made it by the age of 19 now, then they have to make a decision. What will happen with our next youngsters if they can't be regulars at 19 in the first team. Will they be let go. We nearly lost jamie shaul to this ridiculous idea. People need to realise the only way for them to develop quicker is to play regular rugby with the players they train with week in week out not to be dual registered. Their is plenty of talented kids out their as I played the game for 10 yrs but a distinct lack of scouts and bias was/is to be blamed. This merger is not the answer. More scouts through all ages and clubs no matter what the league as their is many hidden gems out their, fairness and equality is also assential with better education on how to achieve those goals along with an A team is by far the better option. I feel for these kids now who will be disheartened at not getting a chance and will walk away for good.

Hull FC is Hull FC and HKR is HKR, this adds up to great rivalry, best and only Derby in RL and most passionate sets of fans, take that away and you have nothing, and you will lose the supporters on both sides, think again please.
