It's a disgrace! Two strong academies with a rivalry like no other. It's a selfish cost cutting way of reducing junior development, the thing that the game needs more of. #NoToHullMerger

150th year, and we announce we are going to merge with Rovers? what is going on? this is purely financial and would never have happened without the marquee player decision. completely wrong. supported FC since 1981 and have never felt so downbeat, its supposed to be a celebration of 150 years, how wrong could the owner get it? not sure where this leaves me, but one things for sure I'm pretty fed up.

I am a Huddersfoekd Giants fan who believes this Academy merger could be a way of sneakily trying to merge the 2 clubs. I hated the Huddersfiekd-Sheffiekd Merger.

The decision to merge is purely a financial one, whatever each club might say. There is no sense investing so much money in the academy set up only to let hkr reap the rewards. The draft will only push young players to other clubs and there is likely to be issues with owners and supporters alike should one club do better than the other from the set up. And emotionally, its a total non-starter. Id rather not have a hull fc then be tied in with hkr in any way. If it is not working then Pearson has to find another way to bring through young players and not merge facilities, resources and talent with hkr or any other club.
