I have owned and operated a pet grooming business in the same location for the past 19 years, the town of Oakville is saying that I have no legal rights for my business to be there, that it was never zoned for my business , but they never had reason to question it, although I am consistantly in the top three favourite grooming salons in Oakville, have applied and paid for sign permits at city hall as well as having a major fire that was a big story in the local paper, I'm even in the Hilton business directory. I had a buyer for my business who was denied an occupancy permit, and this is when I found out. The mayor promised to make it right, they recently held a council meeting and it was the majority vote that they would not grant me legal status. I am trying to have as many signatures as possible to try and plead my case that I should be granted legal status to keep my business where it has been for almost two decades. It is well known and respected and I would like to stay in the place where everyone knows it to be.
