I get tired of my tax $ being used for frivolous laws such as this one. People dying of COVID and you do nothing. People need affordable health care and you do nothing.

If you value life, take care of those that are alive. Do not use our tax money to defend this unconstitutional law.

This Abortion ban is not wanted and the use of tax dollars to defend it is unconscionable.

Botched self performed abortion kills two lives (mom and baby) legal access to termination of pregnancy tries to save one of those lives..... No prohibition have ever stopped women from self perform an abortion, decrease abortion by preventing pregnancies not by re-traumatizing rape and incest victims!

How dare you use tax dollars to promote this supposed pro-life bill without focus on saving the lives of living South Carolinians first. Deplorable.

No taxpayer dollars spent on defense. If these legislators choose to defend this bill in court, they shall pay out for it out of their own pockets.

Our tax dollars can go to much better uses than trying to screw poor women over. I can think of several just off the top of my head. Vaccine programs, schools, our freaking roads that are more potholes than pavement, feeding the hungry, housing the homeless, repairing and replacing old bridges and dams.

The fetal heart beat Bill smacks science in the face, rejects what experts say, slaps rape victims in the face, and ignores what business leaders say. Not a dime of tax payer dollars should go to defending this bill in court.

So, abortion is immoral but its okay to not have adequate health care, education, food deserts, substandard housing, lack of a living wage to raise the child you deemed worthy? Something is wrong with a society that brings a child into the world but has No remorse for the conditions in which the child must struggle to survive in. What actions will you take when it's your daughter, granddaughter, mother, girlfriend or spouse. I'm sure you will have the means to wisk them off to another state or country where the procedure is legal. Rest well knowing that South Carolina once again aligns on the wrong side of a personal rights issue!

Governor McMaster and SC legislators, don't put this financial burden of court costs and attorney fees on South Carolina citizens who are standing in food lines, trying to save their businesses or receiving unemployment. If you must pass the abortion ban/ heartbeat bill, pledge that only private, not public dollars be used if it goes to coury.
