Stop the Sale of Tattoo & Piercing Equipment to Non-Licensed Individuals and Minors in Lawrence County
Lawrence County Indiana has no law against the sale of tattoo and body piercing supplies and equipment to non-licensed individuals and minors. Laws are in effect that require a permit from the Board of Health and compliance to their environmental guidelines. The law requires an individual to be 18 years of age to apply a tattoo or to consent for one's own tattoo. If you must be 18 to get or give a tattoo, it only makes sense to prohibit the sale of equipment to anyone under 18. The law also specifies the necessary infection control procedures that are mandatory to receive a permit. If you feel that the law should be amended to prohibit the sale of tattoo and body piercing equipment to non-licensed artists and minors, please add your signature to this petition so that we can present it to our lawmakers and change this.
