It will be great for the area, more choice to get to London + I use the Eurostar a lot and currently has to change at East Croydon to get home or jump in a taxi. No brainer for me really.

This would makes so much sense. On a daily basis, I watch a King's Cross train go through and just wish it would stop. But it's not just the northern end it helps. Direct fast trains through to Gatwick too!

Unless and until East Croydon is granted Zone 4 status, the better the links from Norwood Junction, the cheaper and better.

Seems like a no-brainer, it would link the Thameslink up with the Overground as well.
