This is valuable green space for the public to enjoy and should be preserved.

This is a wonderful public space which I use regularly and it must remain a park for residents and future generations.

As a former resident for Shipley and a former councillor, I object very strongly to this. Many years ago I helped form Friends of Northcliffe and over the years took my then young children up there very often, had an allotment for years and enjoyed walking here. Northcliffe Woods were set aside by Sir Norman Rae, for the benefit and enjoyment of ghe citizens of Shipley. In this sense it belomgs to the people of the town, not the Council and the Council are custodians of this on behalf of the people. The late Gladys Shuttleworth, who was the main inspiration in creating Friends of Northcliffe would, I am sure, be very sad to see this and would, I am certain, have something to say about it. Have some respect, Bradford Council, for history, for the citizens of the town and for your role as representatives of those people

I strongly object to the proposed crematorium site being built on Northcliffe Park. This is an important area for families in Shipley, Saltaire, Frizinghall and the wider Bradford area. It’s important families have uninterrupted access to this area for children and dogs to be able to play. The houses that overlook the site will have their daily experience completely changed. Not to mention the number of memorial trees and benches across the park, currently this is an area of comfort for people to feel close to their loved ones. The proposed plans will completely change the feel of the area and ruin this for many people.

I think these plans are mad, and this should not go ahead. Northcliffe Park needs to stay as a park for the people of Shipley.

An absurd proposal in every way.

I've seen quite a few low grade ideas emerge from the bowels of city hall in my time as a Bradford councillor, but this one is up there with the worst of them. The Tories wanted to build a road through this park twenty years ago, and now Labour are considering sacrificing part of this green space to create a crematorium. A bad idea that really needs to be buried as quickly as possible.

I strongly object to the proposal to build a crematorium on Northcliffe Park in Shipley. This green space is much needed and very well used by the people of Shipley, Saltaire, Frizinghall and surrounding areas. The loss of any part of Northcliffe Park would be enormously detrimental and would impact on the physical and mental health of local people; in addition it would have a negative effect on wildlife and the eco system.

If I lived in Shipley I would use this park however I believe that no council has the right to take away any common land / park etc for any use. This has been bequeathed to the local people the passage of time should make no difference .

Keep the park a park and not a place for cremation of dead people. Use a more suitable area for such a development such as one of the many brown belt sites around the district.

Land gifted to the people should not be commandeered by councils for their own ends/gains. The countryside is precious, pockets of land like this that brighten city life need to be treasured

Northcliffe Park was intended as recreation space for the public for ever. It is wrong to take any part of the land for other purposes. I object to a crematorium and facilities being built on any part of Northcliffe Park.

Such a shame this is happening.
Leave it as a park
