I find it extraordinary that the Council think it's necessary to jump on the bandwagon of 'regeneration' and destroy an ancient market in the process. They should look at the thriving ancient markets in France - they are not continually 'redesigned' they just have an appropriate financial environment and good access to thrive. There is an old proverb " they who look only to the past are blind in one eye, those who look only to the future are blind in both eyes.' The Councillors should check their vision.

Leave the market and stalls in place so much damage has already done to our market which was the best in the country at one time part of our history.

Most councillors for years now have Destroyed our town instead making the town better they have made it worse. For gods sake lower the rent to the market stall holders lower the rates to the shops bring back the heart and soul of this once great town. Stop Individual councillors from stamping their name all over just for sake of saying I did that. All councillors should work together for the good of the town not against which parties you represent. First and foremost represent the good of the people of Northampton

Too far from the centre and the bus station. Not everyone has cars.

stupid idea. No one can go there except by car and people who shop in the market are almost always on foot/bus

The market has been there for hundreds of years. Leave it alone and stop messing with the town centre it is fine how it is!
