I have two children who attend the school. Both suffered adverse effects of mask mandates. Headaches, nightmares, lack of desire to attend the school and overall confusion and sadness. Children are at the lowest risk of getting seriously ill from this virus. More children die from drowning, car accidents and suicides. Do we stop driving the cars, close the pools?? Let the children breathe fresh air and let them see the faces of their teachers and classmates. The negative effects of this draconian mandates are far worse than the actual virus itself. It is not about the well-being of children, it’s about control and as a mother I will do whatever it takes to protect my children. It should be an individual decision, not a political decision. Please let the children attend the school without any mask mandates.

If we are truly to follow the science, then children would not have to be masked in school. It affects them physically and mentally. It is a parent’s choice whether to mask their child. Leave the choice to us- not government.

I’m signing this petition for many reasons but the most obvious is that kids have been enjoying a maskless summer and they have been in closer contact with their peers than they would be in the classroom. Either at the beach, pool, camp, sports tournaments, birthday parties or BBQ’s. Many of the parents in support of masking their children have posted pictures on their social media pages of large gatherings where their kids are shoulder to shoulder with other children who are not their own. But that was their choice. This should also be our choice.
