North Parsons Neighborhood Safety Concerns

These intersections are extremely dangerous. While waiting for the bus I consistently watch people almost get hit trying to cross the street at Blackburn - which is clear as to why. There are no indicators for people crossing the road they can push to signal to traffic. As a driver, there is a lot going on at this intersection. 4 lane traffic reduces down to 2 lanes, with traffic joining on both sides who have poor traffic visability of oncoming traffic, pedestrians and constantly flashing crosswalk signs (not helpful). Everyone is calling for traffic lights, while that would be great, I recognize that is both expensive and will take time to be approved and installed. Something needs to be done sooner than that: Simply create a 4 way stop. Stop signs can’t be hard to install.

Trying to get out onto Heritage Dr. Is simply dangerous. Can’t see cars coming and usually they’re driving much more than the speed limit.

All insections on Heritage are dangerous, cross walks are in place, people often do NOT stop for pedestrians. Seen it many times myself taking the bus, both adults and kids.

We need traffic lights on Heritage Drive/ Blackburn and Callen intersections

Far too many near misses and accidents at the intersection of heritage and Blackburn as well as heritage and Callen. Issues between vehicles and Pedestrians as well as vehicles vs vehicles.

We need safer intersections in this area. Children and adults have to cross the road. Traffic is extremely high at peak times. Many people use this road as a route to the highway. It is unsafe.

Definitely need light at that intersection!

The intersection of Blackburn and Heritage and the intersection of Callen and Heritage need immediate change before somebody is killed. Especially a young child walking to, or from school.

Please put traffic signals at all parsons north intersection before anybody involved in fatal accidents.

Definitely need more enforcement in this area. The speeding is out of control. The 500 block of Heritage needs something to slow drivers down. Blackburn/Heritage should have lights.

I’m feeling insecure lately hearing about all the breakins. I’m waking during the night thinking I’m hearing things and I’m not feeling safe. This isn’t right.

We need more police in the area. Especially on the main roads.

I cross blackburn every day after work. I joke with my coworkers that it's so dangerous we can only hope to get hit by a company truck for a better payout. It's unreal the speed people tear through that intersection at.
