We, the residents of North Carolina, respectfully request a call to action on the issue of teacher pay in our state. It is time to stop paying lip service to the support of public education and start paying our teachers a professional wage commensurate with their commitment and role in preparing our children for success. We understand that there are several proposals toward this end, and want you, our lawmakers, to weigh the options carefully and ACT. As voters, we vow to stay informed and take our representatives' action, or lack of it, into consideration when casting our votes in the next election.
