Finally someone is speaking up about this. Clients deserve to know if the person holding the needle is actually credentialed or just someone off the street. Things need to change in NC.

My dog had a horrible time at the vet last month and I had no idea who was even in the room with him. Transparency is long overdue.

This is so critical for our profession! I am an RVT and worked hard to get through college to earn that title. It should mean something to the veterinarian I work for and to the clients I serve.

I have been looking for a new local vet and all seem to be using vet techs for all "vitals", blood draws, usually in the back without the owner present. Having had one bad experience with a poorly trained vet tech doing a blood draw, I want a vet to check my dogs.. I certainly pay for a vet visit...I will keep looking until I can actually have a vet do vitals and treatment on my dog

I think this is an extremely important topic and can't agree with these two changes more. I'm an RVT and currently in nursing school. Human nursing interests are well represented in government and as a whole they ban together for progress. Please help bring change to our profession by signing this petition.

I am signing this petition as a RVT, and as a pet owner who deserves to know who is performing what duties on my pets. I no longer practice in the field.
