Don't take away lanes from Norfolk's Hampton Blvd.

I've lived in Colonial Place for 25yrs. Monitor the speed limit more thoroughly and fine the speeders accordingly. Minimizing the lanes will make Hampton Blvd even more of a parking lot. Thank you.

I have absolutely no issue with changing the speed limit, but it must be enforced! Please do NOT remove a vehicle lane! By removing a lane the city is placing every single person living in Larchmont in jeopardy! I personally lost two friends to Hampton Blvd and absolutely do not want to lose anymore!!

The bike Lanes need to be rethought in all of Norfolk . It's ashame such a poor design was done . If done right this would not be such a pet peeves to so many .

Why shoot yourself in the foot? Traffic is bad enough on Hampton Blvd already!

My morning commute is already negatively impacted by the congestion on Hampton Blvd. Please don’t make it worse!

The lanes must not be closed to traffic. The traffic is horrendous at certain times of the day. As a new resident who recently moved from Virginia Beach, this is highly disturbing! Maybe you should Limited tractor trailer and train traffic!!

As a new resident of Norfolk, I’m appalled that City Council would ever consider closing lanes on Hampton Blvd., which is already overcrowded. Maybe instead you should consider limiting the huge volume of tractor trailers who take over!

Please do not reduce Hampton Blvd to 2 ones each direction.

Too many bike lanes in Norfolk already and I never see bicycles in them. We never got to vote on the existing ones and I would vote to remove all of them. Hampton Blvd is too busy to reduce lanes.

This is short sighted. Traffic is a problem and Hampton blvd is a major street in Norfolk.

Additional bike lanes certainly don't make us any safer or make traffic move any better. The bike lanes on Colley Ave. at the underpass prove that. Besides those poles separating bike from traffic lanes being confusing, they really jam up traffic. We have enough traffic jams on Hampton Blvd. as it is. Please don't make it even worse with bike lanes. Like others who have commented, I have seen few bikers use these bike lanes.

This land reduction would only make the traffic worse. Ideally and turn lane on Hampton blvd south to Bolling Ave would help with traffic flow

Going to 2 lanes will be a nightmare. Police presence is what is needed.

Do not reduce lanes on hampton blvd. This will be a traffic catastrophe that endangers citizens and drives down property values, FURTHER reducing our tax base. I will campaign aggressivly to remove any council members that support this ill conceived plan.

Reducing lanes on Hampton Blvd will only exacerbate the traffic problem, not alleviate it. The city planners should not overact to one or two freak accidents.

Not a good idea on Hampton Blvd.

A city council that thinks purposely creating traffic jams to curtail speeding needs to be voted out immediately. This sounds like a bad joke!

Slowing traffic in this manner will lead to road rage and possibly more accidents. Northbound backups could extend through all or part of the ODU campus, making it more difficult and dangerous for students to cross Hampton Boulevard. Not to mention the environmental impact of cars sitting in traffic even longer than they already do on this road. Please explore other ideas to make this road safer.

Bike lanes on this road is an insane idea. Losing lanes is no solution to congestion problem.
