This is important because the main reason Norfolk Public Schools banned tank tops is because "it distracts boys." Boys should be taught not to be distracted in school, instead of punishing the girls for it by banning tank tops. In addition, some people chose to ignore the original three finger rule. We should punish those who break it rather than the entire school population. As students, we should be able to wear what we would like as long as it's appropriate, and I, as well as many others, believe a three-finger tank top is perfectly school appropriate.
