We all know that the actions of Council #3548 are not what the Knights of Columbus and the Catholic Faith are about. It is obvious there has been a serious breakdown. If this cannot be remedied then it is necessary to look at disbanding Council 3845.

After two weeks since going public, Fr Beeman's timeline of events has not been contradicted. Thus, bothe State and Supreme had to know about the problems at 3548. As every council must submit reports that include a listing of officers, the fact that Supreme did nothing to investigate the failure to fill the mandatory position of council chaplain for the past 5+ years gives all knights a rational concern that must raise our objections.

As a recruiter for the state I have heard nothing but protests against the council and know of two members that gave up their membership in protest. How can one say we are aggresively pro-life when they invite McAuliffe as Grand Marshal and gives him the honor that says the Knights stand behind him?

Council 3845 has brought discredit on the Knights and caused grave scandal. One would hope the Supreme Council will take swift and decisive action to rescind their charter or at least remove and expell the council officers.

It is because of such acts that I quit the Knights several years ago. I would rejoin ONLY if the K of C would once again be faithful!

As a Past Grand Knight I am personally appalled at the behavior of Council 3548. It definitely gives the organization a black eye. Most people do not have the understanding of how the Knights are sanctioned. To quote a very good friend who is Methodist "boy you guys in the Knights really have started something" I think its time for Supreme to get in involved and possibly pull there charter,

This council is a serious scandal both to the K of C and Holy Mother Church. They need to be removed.
