Keep The Highlands Residential

I feel I am being caught in a bait and switch scheme. I bought my home here with the understanding all this would be residential. Please honor that commitment!!!

Remember the new school. Children-school buses-safety No one wants an industrial park behind them. This would lower property values.

WE have enought traffic @ the HIGHLANDS, along w/ daycare and schools, WE DO NOT NEED warehouses in out areas, where BIG trucks w/b coming in and out for pick ups and/or deliveries.

I agree. We do not need trucks coming Down highlands. The roads are bad enough already. We are paying $50 every year for road maintenance. That surely would go up. Who can afford living here then. Plus safety is an issue.

This would be completely ridiculous if allowed to happen! This entire area should stay 100% residential!! Please think about the kids and the families before allowing this to happen!! There is plenty of undeveloped space on Jimmy Deloach for all of this development, and that is where it should stay!!

I do not want this warehouse in my community. I don't think this will add any value to our neighborhood and will destroy our property values. We have a family friendly neighborhood and we do not want the noise, the trucks, or the aesthetics of a warehouse in our backyard.

I vote against rezoning Highlands 341 acres to light industrial from residential

I will no be able to attend this meeting for I work night shift. That being said, as an owner in Highlands Crossing I vote against the land becoming "light industrial".

with the continued growth of Pooler, this Master Plan needs to be completed as is for homes only. This industrial idea would also effect several other neighborhoods as well on Jimmy DeLoach.

Keep this a residential area please - do not adversely affect our property values by resonant to light industrial.

Don't you DARE rezone. I hope if you do that you are sued to no end and you're tied up in court for years and it costs you millions.

Keep this residential!

I am against the rezoning. There is enough industrial area up and down Jimmy DeLoach. I want my neighborhood to remain a residential one.

Clearly, adding warehouses and light industry would greatly affect the quality of life in the Highlands area. I do not support this re-zoning. There is a reason why the Master Plan had residential housing: we need it in this area.

While this expansion could reap quick benefits for the land owner to convert to warehouses and industry instead of residential areas, it would bring a wholly different world to the existing residents' doorsteps. Industry and warehouses will, no doubt, bring increased truck and business traffic down an already busy street. It would increase noise, traffic, and decrease safety, thereby quickly reducing property values in the area. Many of us purchased homes in the area because of the residential communities we are surrounded by. With a strong feeling of community, and a general peace of mind that development would be residential instead of industry or commercial, we purchased our homes; we invested in the future we were promised. With a rezoning of this area, we are no longer getting the future we were promised. By taking away the ability to have more homes, and also a much-anticipated additional clubhouse, the rezoning plan would change everything we based our investments and very lives on here in this community. I strongly urge that our leaders do not consider the request to rezone, and maintain the PUD-C residential zoning as we understood would remain. I am not in favor of the re-zoning. I am in favor of the re-zoning for shops, fuel stations, restaraunts, etc., but not for warehouse or light industry.
