Don't destroy our beautiful land all for making more money. Respect the environment and its beauty - the world needs more of that.

Don't over develop this sea side village .. allowing this to happen will eventually allow the rest of the larger allotments to be sub divided, along the same lines what is currently happening in lauderdale after the aged care facility was allowed to subdivide, Now we are seeing prime realestate on lauderdale hill be subdivided !!

proposed development is at odds with the Development Plan • Detriment to the amenity of the area – in particular we moved here to enjoy low impact living in a low-population dormitory suburb of less that 550 residents • benefits and advantages of the local environment which we currently enjoy due to low population is sightings of threatened and endangered wildlife which will become even more at risk with increased traffic allowing for an addition of at least 2 cars per household in the new development • The negative effect on the general atmosphere of the area • The negative impact on the preferred and existing sleepy village character of the neighbourhood. • The negative social effect of this development on the safety of children walking on the roads without foot paths and on pushbikes - additional traffic will put them at greater risk, resulting in reduced level of independent outdoor activity by children. • this type of land use is not appropriate to a small low growth area • Traffic congestion at key insersction of CB Rd and SA Hwy • Inadequate storm water drainage • Out of character with the current community preferences • Development like this is not appropriate for a domritory suburb • Increase in noise

too many houses in too small a space. also where will the excess water run to? it breaks what Clifton represents putting 13 cheap nasty houses on these blocks

Would effect the culture of Clifton Beach being a relatively small community of people who enjoy living out of town and close to the beach. Creating a high density subdivision will be detrimental to not only the environment but also to the residents.

Definitely no to rezone we are a beachside town not a suburb.

Not in keeping with the nature of our coastal community and will have a wider impact on the whole Clifton Beach community.

I think there are a number of reasons this development should not occure.

I oppose this proposal on a number of grounds. Increased traffic flow on what is already a sub standard road for the amount of traffic it carries, waste water control, environmental impact and on the basis that this development is not in keeping with the low density seaside environment of the area.

This is a potential disaster for the area which has no sewage infrastructure, a high water table and a sensitive oyster industry in the area. There has been a previous case in Wallace Lakes in NSW where the council allowed ongoing development around a lagoon supporting an oyster industry. The result was that 400 people contracted hepatitis a due to the presence of septic tanks which were not maintained and leaked to the lagoon. The Council was found partly responsible in the landmark court case. The Clarence Council is aware of this case. The oyster industry is a key part of the Clarence economy and should be a leader in addressing this issue.

I grew up in Clifton Beach and I would like to still holiday there with my family and friends without the hustle and bustle of over crowdedness.

Definite NO to a re zone and definite NO to a village. Goes against the lifestyle of the locals.

Totally against it. The quiet and small community of Clifton Beach is why I moved here. We still need to put objections into council.. People power may not help stop this going ahead.. But politicians might...
