The scientific evidence, regarding health, against living under an airport flight path is proven. No night flights, no airport! No 24/7 cargo hub wanted thank you!

Living directly under the flight path I remember, when the airport was open, the broken nights sleep almost every night. I can't cope with that again!

As someone who lives under Heathrow and is regularly woken up by flights I wholeheartedly support everyone's entitlement to a quiet night's sleep.

Clinging to a functioning airport at Manston at all costs is incredibly shortsighted and will be disastrous for the entire Kent Coast bth economically and environmentally.

We do not need this airport. The added traffic. the extra pollution. It would make Thanet a much less desirable place to live.

Living in Ramsgate and with memories of huge cargo 'planes causing house to rattle and sleepless nights, nightflights will destroy not only my peace but the ecology, economy and heritage tourist value of the town.

I object to the inevitable amount of night flights they'll require to run a cargo outfit of the magnitude they want. The health impact of myself who already suffers from a heart condition and the added risk to my family is warrented. I live in a listed building and am therefore not allowed any sound insulation making the noise from the very low flying aircraft unbearable. It would also destroy tourism in Ramsgate which is currently enjoying a resurgence with the airport being closed.

Having any kind of flights over Ramsgate would kill the tourist trade and make it a very unpleasant and unhealthy place to live!

Were Manston to re-open, our house would be at the end of the runway. Who in his right mind would want this?

South East air space is too crowded already. Manaton is not needed.

Cargo=night-flights. Anyone who says different is a liar.

Following its privatisation, Manston lost over £100 million for successive owners. It isn't viable as an airport and that's why it was closed down. The new owners have plans for much-needed housing, but their plans also include commercial and industrial premises; a mixed development. They are planning to create thousands of jobs, and they have a track record of doing this; most recently, on the site which Pfizer vacated, in Sandwich. The company bidding to reopen the airport is a newly formed company with no track record of opening or operating airports. One day they tell us they will need no night flights; the next they say that some will be needed. In reality, they are planning a cargo depot and, to attract any significant volume of business, they will need to be able to operate 24/7. Local people should be under no illusion about the impact this will have. You will not "get used to it" as some dishonest pro-airport campaigners have claimed. Night flights are a major cause for concern at all major airports and they would cause huge problems if they were permitted at Manston.

Create jobs through mixed use of site and provide much needed housing on a brownfield site. Commercial passenger flights never viable at Manston. Freight will be bad for the environment and harm the development of the area for tourism and create few jobs.
