Stop making new laws
Stop village, township, city, county, state and federal lawmakers from making any more laws for six months. Each year the American public elects officers to numerous boards, commissions and offices with the intent of doing the will of the people in the most cost effective and proper manner possible. Yet, time and time again, due to special interests, ignorance, arbitrary and capricious opinion and knee-jerk reaction to situations already guided by legislation, politicians of all stripes engage in creation of unnecessary and often counter-productive laws. In order to give lawmakers the time necessary to research standing laws; offer suggestions on how to streamline the system to the public; and, finally, to repeal said laws, I am starting this grassroots effort to enact a voluntary moratorium on all laws which do not directly affect the financial health, welfar or safety of the public.
