Hard to believe anyone would want to use any thing other than NON-TOXIC fill on the public school turn fields.

Organic infills have another huge advantage: they are significantly cooler than crumb rubber. http://www.geoturfusa.com/g/why-geo/heat-resistance/ illustrates one product's differences.

Organic infills also have a huge playing advantage, since they are significantly cooler than crumb rubber.

Please use only non-toxic fill and grass on Concord turf fields! Our health and our children's health may be compromized if we don't.

I would have much preferred natural grass but if an artificial product is insisted upon please make it as healthy and environmentally friendly as possible. I do not think crumb rubber is healthy for our children or environment.

I totally agree with this petition since so many atheletes have been crippled by virtue of playing on such toxins

Artificial turf carries toxins. There are health risks involved. There are better alternatives, all of which are risk free.

Non-toxic fill is the only choice for Concord Turf Fields. Prevention of toxicity of children is more important than trying to cure it.

As a parent, I applaud and appreciate the effort of CC@play- but am concerned about the long term potential risks of the proposed turf.

Seems like a reasonable solution until more is known about the environmental impacts of using crumb rubber in playing fields.

Our highest priority is to make sure that children can grow up in the safest environment possible. Crumb rubber presents serious health concerns. Until definitively proven as 100% safe, alternatives are available with grass being the best option.
