Coach Kappers sure improved the program and gave us a feel of genuine care of what he was teaching. Sad to see this happening in our community.

Clubs cannot run with out openness and clarity. I know from experience that turning away good help in a no-no. I'd gladly take you here at SCC!!!!

I coached with Mike for several years and I know him to be a man of integrity. I have been away from the sport for some time, but if what Mike says is true, then it is a situation that needs to be fixed.

Every non-profit 501 3c ....club or organization is required by law to have organized , publicized , open meetings w/ a board and members ...

When I wrestled Mike was one of my biggest motivators to keep showing up and working hard. He was always there for all of the students and was willing to go the extra mile. He taught more than just wrestling. Somerset Wrestling is better with Mike Kappers involved.

I wrestled with and for Mike for many years. He's been a great coach and friend, he wants nothing but good things for the somerset wrestling community.

All families involved in the program should be questioning why this program is being handled in such a way of not involving them in descsions of the club, such as who coaches and where the money is being spent. Mr. Kappers has spent endless hours for the kids of Somerset. I have seen Mr. Kappers working in the wrestling and school environment and all the kids have so much respect for him. He has such a positive influence on our children of today. I guess I don't understand?? After all it is the children and parents who make up these clubs! Everyone should have input! This is the future of our children and the program. It should always be an open door policy for anyone.

What are we trying to hide? These meetings should be open, and the positions should be up for vote! Id love to know where money I have donated is going.you

My boys wrestle for a town I south Dakota about the size of Somerset. We have open elections and votes. I would wonder where the money goes from.fundraisers....we make enough that the club pays for wrestling meets and a.a.u. card.

I think there is alumni that are willing to put the time and help high school kids progress they should be allowed into the room to donate their time

Mike Kappers should be allowed to work with young men today, tomorrow, and everyday. For a club or any organization to prevent that from happening it should be explained, justified, and communicated openly. Each and every person has that right and someone who has shown a commitment to the sport and kids for as many years as Mike has definitely deserves the opportunity.

Kappers was one of my wrestling coaches in the early 2000s and last year helped coach my son. My son was very excitied this school year seeing Coach Kappers teaching at the elementary school and has been looking forward to wrestling season. Why would someone with years of experience and 2 sons in wrestling not be allowed to coach?

Members of the Somerset wrestling club should have a vote or say in who coaches their kids and who is in charge. I'd love to be able to work together on this and come together as a team to make this club amazing.

All I want for my kiddos is to be involved in an organization that is supportive, teaches skill, as well as what it means to be a team player. By signing this petition, I hope for this change!!!!!
