Nearly 12,000 people have now been subjected to a form of justice that is in stark contradiction of their human rights, and breaks Egypt's international obligations as a signatory to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. Death sentences have been handed down, minors have been sentenced to serve in adult prisons, detainees have been tortured and subjected to virginity checks.
This is not the liberated Egypt the world celebrated with on February 11th.
This military injustice has to stop, and we will continue to exert domestic and international pressure on SCAF until they do.

The lack of official response from the council remains a significant concern despite the growing number of people signing this petition. I am currently coordinating with international legal observers to ensure that these accounts of injustice reach the appropriate human rights oversight committees.

My heart breaks for the families. No minor should be in an adult prison. Truly shameful.
12,000 people?? Are you kidding me? This is supposed to be a new chapter for the country not more of the same oppression.
We did not rise up for this. Keep the military out of the justice system.
MILITARY TRIALS FOR CIVILIANS HAS NO PLACE IN A DEMOCRACY. END IT.
Enough is enough. These practices violate every right we fought for in the revolution. Stop this immediately.
May GOD-THE-ALL-MIGHTY-JUST-CREATOR save the victims of oppression (our beloved planet and the living beings therein).
