I oppose the cell tower proposed to be placed by Verizon Wireless at 1210 Mcrees Mill Road in Watkinsville.

I feel the proposed tower is not appropriate for a residential area, that it would be too close to existing residences, would be a visual blight on the neighboring area, and would decrease the values of area homes and real estate.

I ask the Oconee County Board of Commissioners and Planning Commission to deny and reject the Application for Special Use Permit, Case # 6559.
