We the local citizens of San Diego East County do not want a new homeless shelter built or existing real estate repurposed in Lakeside, CA.

We respectfully request our local San Diego County Supervisor Joel Anderson immediately cease promoting this bad idea.

We stand for immediate reasonable solutions to the homeless crisis such as:

Placing homeless in existing local homeless facilities.

Engaging the Sheriff to transport the homeless to downtown San Diego where more homeless facilities exist.

Offering the homeless one-way bus tickets to other areas where they can access help from requesting family members.

Jailing homeless for violating existing laws.

Sending mentally impaired homeless to existing Federal, State, and County facilities.

Diverting funds for homeless shelters to private drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities designed specifically for homeless clients.
