I feel that a donkey, or jackass, does not accurately represent my political values or beliefs. I fully support the idea of the Democratic Party electing a new, official symbol for the Democratic Party that better represents its values and beliefs.

Democrats for Symbolic Change\'s (DSC) mission is to facilitate the process of electing a new, official symbol for the Democratic Party. The national process of selecting a new symbol will serve as a rallying point for all Democrats, and non-Democrats alike, to rediscover the Democratic Party and partake in the re-development of its identity. Most importantly, this process will involve discussing, re-defining, and re-understanding what it means to be a modern Democrat.
