This house I am living in is an investment house that my Dad and StepMom owned. My Step Sister moved in here about a year ago and experienced noise i.e. Loud stereo/Bass Tejano music from both Home and Truck, she visited the residence only to have the door slammed into her fence. Step Sister Landed in Jail (Long decision) I Moved in here 2 months ago and experinced the noise the first night I was here.. So I spoke with the police and they stated to call, keep records and hope we can take care of this.. So i did and have and recently a regional officer came by to let me know she is working on this and is going to speak with the neighbors and have this matter resolved.. It hasn’t I have many videos uploaded to youtube where you can actullat here the music as well as the actual lyrics direcrtlt inside my living room Not sure where to turn now. Small claims court?

I live in the country on acreage to enjoy wildlife, my horses & peace & quiet. There should definitely be a way to enforce laws for rural property & 65 dbl. would be a comfortable noise level. I would like to see legislation that gas wells within a certain distance of homes have to run silently. Two nearby run loud diesel pumps to push salt water down into the earth.

I sold a very nice home and property in Waller County because of noise. Now in Lee County I am being subjected to constant dog barking.

They, The Hummingbird House on 12805 Arroyo Doble Dr.in the community of Manchaca have definitely, and are continuing to abuse the sanctity of the freedom of the right to be regulation free, by not respecting the rights of their neighbors to their country life by moving into a neighborhood of single family homes, setting up a commercially run business, that is open at least 3 nights a week from afternoon until 10 pm, or sometimes the wee hours of the morning. Travis County has taken the position that by State Law they have no control over these events as long as they do not exceed the 85 db level.

My concern is that most ordinances only account for noises generated by equipment or music. In my neighborhood our nearest neighbor insists on talking till late into the night and playing 'horseshoes'. On occasion they have done this as late as 3am. The fact is we can hear the thunk and laughter and talking. They are polluting my property with their noises and lowering my property value should we ever sell. We have had numerous conversations but without results. The police say they can do nothing.

We just recently moved to the country to get away from the bass music. now it's the sounds of nature and of course.....bass! This is ridiculous! I'm just sick! Just found out from neighbor-it gets worse when it warms up.

We have some disrespectful neighbors who blare their music at all hours of the day. Many times until midnight and tonight I approached them about this. One time the response was "I'm happy and that's what matters". Tonight I was told they can do it until 9 pm. Something needs to be done to give law enforcement the authority to deal with the disrespectful law breakers.

I am told that the TEQC doesm't have jurisdiction over noise control perhaps this needs to change, obviously something does as the noise level emanting from the Riesel power plant has become intolerable.

I am from Dripping Springs where there is no noise ordinance. The school board wants to build a 10000 seat stadium in my back yard. HELP!

We have a neighbor who has opened a commercial firing range on his property. On any given Saturday or Sunday the APD Swat Team practices there. No one can ride horses and all of our animals go crazy, not to mention all of the neighbors.

We love music, but when outdoor music is allowed at 85dB near single family homes, as it is in Austin, it is an unfair, health damaging noise to those who live there! We want our city and our state to prohibit this noise invasion of our homes.

It is way past time for this to happen. I live across the street from folks who believe its OK to play their car stereos loud enough to rattle my windows and the sheriff says he can do nothing. It is ridiculous that I can be cited for my dogs barking easier than they can be cited for the crap music.

The local sheriff has pronounced dog barking at 4 AM as "normal and natural" Really? I propose that the dogs are in an abnormal and unnatural environment(residential neighborhood)

We have had people from Mexico buy the property adjacent to us.They have built a building that is being used as a bar or club. They have an extremely loud sound system. They play it at all times of the day and night. We do not have a noise ordinance in Wilson County. Although we have lived here for 12 years with peace and quite, now we are told these people can do whatever they want on their property. I have written letters to our Sheriff, county commissioner, and County Judge. It is impossible for us to sleep and have missed work due to the noise. We need help.

I have 114 ac in Grimes Country and someone bought 50 ac. adjacent from me on a county road and built a motor cross track. There is no peace and unfortunately the owner has no regards or desire to respect his neighbor's rights to Peace and Quiet. I have called the county and there is NO level of decibels to have a standard set. So I am now in the process of starting a petition so that the County Commissioner's Court will hear us and setr a limit. Then the big task will be to shut him down. Any tips or words of wisdom? My wife and I just bought a home next to a skating rink. We thought that the idea of living next to a skating rink would be ok, even pleasant. The skating rink consistently stays open until 12:00 am and later on the weekends. They have played the music even on school nights when they weren't even open. We received no response. We have contacted the local sheriff office to no avail. Please help.
