We, the residents of 33 Clarke Street, Southbank VIC 3006, petition the City of Melbourne to act against the Fabrique nightclub located at 272 City Road, Southbank VIC 3006.
We are having serious trouble sleeping on Thursday and Saturday night because of the loud music they play until 5am.
This situation is no longer bearable and we need the council to take immediate and serious action to permanently solve this issue.
Furthermore, because of the drunk people leaving the Fabrique nightclub we often find broken glasses, vomit and urine in front of our building and sometimes inside our lift as well.
Moreover, these drunk people happen to fight just under our building and we had to call the
police oftentimes.
Once again - we urge serious and immediate action on this matter as living in this area is becoming problematic.

I can hear the music from inside my room with the windows closed and I live down the street at 283 City Rd. It is disturbing enough over here, but if I can hear it here, then I can only imagine how bad it is for closer residents. And yes, disruptive behaviour by patrons is unacceptable. Perhaps more policing could help? Fabric should be made to sound proof the building and ensure air-conditioning can cater for it at full capacity.
Just purchased an apartment at Banque 88. First Saturday night here was unbearable and I am on the 10th floor. Will be contacting the owner this weekend if it is loud.

Shut it down. Drunk people and bottles everywhere. We live here, this is not the place for drunken violence. This is our residential area. For thousands of people in many residential buildings.

This noise has been going on since the building opened. It starts at 10pm and goes through to 4am and sometimes later. It is unbearable to sleep on a Friday and Saturday night. They have now moved to Thursday and Saturday nights. The smell coming from the back of the establishment is disgusting as it is from the patrons who pee in the alley. There is always broken glass as well. The main problem is the noise though. I understand the club has the right to play music but it is definitely above the allowed decible level. In summer they leave the doors open to there establishment and thats why the noise carries to the surrounding areas.
