How can I do work/revise with this level of noise? We felt the floor physically shaking.

Every day I awake to the sounds of construction and a single tear rolls down my cheek as I realise I'm entering another day of torture and misery. The construction project is particularly scarring for my as I lost both of my parents in a rogue digger accident and the thoughts of industrialised rubble-moving machinery are still unnerving to this day. The workmen also have a poor level of professionalism at the workplace that I find deeply disappointing - just yesterday I watched one of the workmen who I heard referred to loudly as 'Vinny Skagknuckles' record a video for his YouTube channel where he tests different brands of guitar amps and women's makeup. Naturally the fourteen minutes where my attention was dragged to this androgynous builder shredding Guns N Roses was fourteen less minutes devoted to my Croatian dancing module's 4,500 word assignment.

I live on the fourth floor of the tannery and the noise is a continuous disruption throughout the day.

I am on the other side of the building and I am still woken up when it starts in the morning, our chairs also vibrate when work is happening and it is so disruptive to us, I cant imagine what it must be like if you are facing it!

I have been awoken at 7am every day this week and have to close my window whilst revising for exams due to the noise. No fresh air available

The Tannery is an accommodation recommended to students undertaking health care courses; as it is far from the noise of the University campus. However, I feel that the current construction is not only impacting on revision and study during the exam period but also considerably disruptive to those student nurses who are working long 12 hour shifts, particularly night shifts which are necessary for our degree. Additionally, I feel lied to as those who applied to this accommodation were told it was a quiet area to meet our needs.

I can't beleive that they'd choose such a rediculous time to start loud building work, it's right up to exam period. We all need to be revising, but the diggers just don't make this a reality.

My room doesn't even face the site and I am still being disrupted every day. It is rediculous that this is happening just as we need to be revising for our exams and finishing deadlines!
