We, the Community and Voters of Frederick County object to building any type of waste incinerator anywhere in or around Frederick County, Maryland. We DEMAND that our elected representatives stop wasting our time and money investing into researching an option that is:
Antiquated (No large scale municipal waste incinerator built in the United States in almost 15 years)
Toxic (No amount of burning garbage being pumped into the air and buried in the ground as ash is acceptable or "safe")
And Costly (Frederick County taxpayers do NOT want to take on any portion of a $527,000,000.00 bill now OR in the future)
Commissioners President Jan H. Gardner, Vice President David P. Gray, and Kai J. Hagen, Charles A. Jenkins, and John L. Thompson, Jr. vote with your constituents as a representative for the opinions of the community at large OR understand that in 2010 you will be voted out of your offices.
I really thought this might just disappear into the void but looking at how many people are actually paying attention now is honestly surreal. People are finally waking up to the fact that we are being ignored and frankly that makes me want to keep pushing even harder because our air and our money are not up for grabs.

Ridiculous idea. Seriously who thinks burning trash in the middle of a residential area is a good plan because it sounds like a nightmare for the kids.

Find a different way. Incinerators are way outdated and bad for the enviroment anyway.
