No Incinerator In Frederick County
We, the Community and Voters of Frederick County object to building any type of waste incinerator anywhere in or around Frederick County, Maryland. We DEMAND that our elected representatives stop wasting our time and money investing into researching an option that is: Antiquated (No large scale municipal waste incinerator built in the United States in almost 15 years) Toxic (No amount of burning garbage being pumped into the air and buried in the ground as ash is acceptable or "safe") And Costly (Frederick County taxpayers do NOT want to take on any portion of a $527,000,000.00 bill now OR in the future) Commissioners President Jan H. Gardner, Vice President David P. Gray, and Kai J. Hagen, Charles A. Jenkins, and John L. Thompson, Jr. vote with your constituents as a representative for the opinions of the community at large OR understand that in 2010 you will be voted out of your offices.
