Petition Oppose Patrick Stoddard’s forced retirement! As you all know, Patrick Stoddard one of our most beloved course leaders for the Journalism Course is being forced to retire at the end of this semester. A lot of students are unhappy with that decision because Patrick’s wealth of knowledge and years of experience are invaluable to us as Journalism students. Patrick’s unique style of teaching, the fact that he created the journalism course and his immense popularity with staff and students makes the decision to force him to retire one that students cannot support. We are not happy, and furthermore we are worried about the future of our course. A teacher as passionate about his job as Patrick is will only ever be an asset to any institution he is associated with and will always be an inspiration to his pupils!
