Unincorporated North Fair Oaks residents, please sign this petition in support of keeping our home High School as Menlo- Atherton High. Children from the Unincorporated Menlo Park area of North Fair Oaks currently attend Menlo-Atherton High as their home High School. The Sequoia Union High School Board has proposed changing our home school to Sequoia or Woodside High in the coming years. They do this, in part, to make room for more children from East Palo Alto and Ravenswood districts at Menlo-Atherton High. This proposed change will make for longer commutes to Sequoia or Woodside High and further separate us from our Menlo Park community. The Board is currently discussing the process for redrawing the boundaries. The proposal to change our district was made without soliciting comment from our neighborhood. It is important that we are vocal in our opposition to the change. Please sign this petition and let the Trustees know that changing our home High School is unacceptable. The goal is to present this petition to the Board of Trustees and Superintendent prior to their creation of a tentative map of new boundaries.
