Keep our park as it is. My wife and I were married there Sept 16, 1961. The first wedding to be held in Tanglewood after the Reynolds family had closed the church.

How about building it where the old racetrack is near the entrance? Better yet why not invest in a disc golf course and baseball complex?

The county has the fairgrounds. They do not need another one. Keep Tanglewood as it is. You can’t improve on perfect, only destroy it.

As a REALTOR that fully understands the importance of growth this is a horrendous idea. Growth must come in proper and sustainable ways. It mustn’t permanently alter neighborhoods, villages, or natural parks. We absolutely do not want or need an even center of this magnitude in Clemmons or even Forsyth county. We have the fairgrounds that can easily accommodate or see additional development.
Furthermore, the amount of storm water issues we have in Clemmons West and Clemmons will only be increased with this type of added development and the vast amount of impermeable surface that it would create.
Lastly, the front section of the park is serene and filled with people walking, biking, walking dogs, pushing strollers, watching the horses, and enjoying the wild life. This type of change is terrible and would not at all have been the intention when the property was donated.
Do the right thing and terminate this plan.
