Wales High School has introduced clip-on ties as a ridiculous alteration to the school uniform! They say it makes the pupils look smarter, but does it In school many pupils wear their tie on their second button of their shirt, which looks daft but means that you don\'t have to do your top button up. Whilst on the way to and from school pupils take their ties off, which many parents say looks worse than a loose short tie, because then at least they were wearing one. It was also claimed that they were bringing-in these ties \"based on Health and Safety grounds\". This is a stupid reason as these ties are more dangerous with the metal/plastic clip that could be used to whip someone with or even stab them. These ties are more likely to be stolen as they can be easily pulled off, unlike the traditional school ties. A girl in Y10 lost hers the day she got it, because it simply fell off. They have recently (08/05/08) introduced the KS4 clip-on tie but only to the Y10, not Y11. This is unfair! They also state that
