Rogue application developers are abusing access to Facebook Chat.
Innocent and unsuspecting Facebook users are installing rogue applications, and then the compromised accounts are used to spread spam and scam messages to their friends via Facebook Chat.
Users are reporting virus attacks and other malware infestations from these applications. The problem is widespread and impacting a large number of Facebook users.
Due to the viral infestation of these rogue Facebook applications, we are respectfully requesting Facebook to restrict developer access to Facebook Chat.
Facebook continues to ignore the flood of malware hitting our inboxes while their executives sit on their hands. I am tired of seeing friends lose control of their accounts to these spam bots because the company refuses to lock down developer permissions. They bank on our silence so keep pushing this forward because they need to hear that we are not going away.

The momentum behind this is clear proof that users are fed up with Facebook letting malware run rampant through our chat boxes. Mark Zuckerberg and his team are choosing to ignore the constant spam and virus attacks, but this growing movement shows they can't hide from our anger forever.

Facebook knows these rogue developers are poisoning our chat boxes but they refuse to pull the plug. We need more signatures to force their hand before this malware spreads any further. Get this in front of everyone you know right now.
