KEEP CAMBRIDGE FREE - NO CONGESTION CHARGING in the City of Cambridge

We want Cambridge back as it was not closed roads or bridges no congestion

Without improving the public transport charging car owners for everything is not fair. It's discrimination. The cyclist needs to stop because they are slowing down the public transport and also the narrower road because of cycle lanes the public transport are slow. The cyclist can easily use the public transport. We need a proper pedestrian path and improved public transport. That's helpful from babies to elderly people to travel around. Not a nuisance cyclist . They just don't pay anything but nuisance to public. What's the point charging without improve the public transport. Active travel is not about cycling. It's about walking and use the public transport for everyone.

Stage coach is a private company surely they have to supply what we are asking for. Why do we have to pay a company to supply the buses, if stage coach can't supply what's needed then let's get another company in to do the job. Why are you asking drivers of private cars to pay for your mistakes on getting a good company to supply a good bus service. Why punish pensioners that live in the city they can't afford to pay this kind of money. This idea will kill cambridge, who runs the city the council or business people who will make money out of this?

I do not expect the politicians to listen!

Any form of activity in Cambridge will now come with an extra cost added. Shoppers will go to other places. Entertainment will be more expensive and visiting Addenbrookes complex will com with extra stress.

I strongly object to the congestion charge I have lived in Cambridge for 75 years why should I be charged to gain access to my own property. If they want to reduce traffic congestion in the City why don’t they close all the city car parks and encourage more people to use public transport.

I work at Royal Papworth Hospital a congestion charge as well as paying to park on my salary will be very damaging to me financially.

This will stop me being able to drive anywhere as I will be charged every time I use my car.

Here’s the deal - if Councillors put reliable, frequent, safe, affordable and round the clock public transport in place and you can have my car keys on the same day. What you are not getting is me out of my car on the promise of “jam tomorrow” and yet more taxation given the complete failure to deliver anything up until now for the vast majority of Cambridge residents and businesses.

Absolute ridiculous idea yet AGAIN! You will kill small businesses and Cambridge will turn into a ghost town!

With increasing cost of living, this is unnecessary and unfair for residents of Cambridge who already paid too much for the rent etc..

Absolutely disgraceful idea .

I have to take my 91 year old Dad to Addenbrookes regularly and on top of everything else going up this charge would be a nightmare.

Parking charges at Addenbrookes are already high - add another fee on the top and it will be impossible to get treatment or even visit loved ones.

Another expense for patients and visitors to Addenbrookes on top of the already expensive parking charges.

It's bad enough with everything else going on people struggling with food bills to put this on top. especially if you are going to addinbrookes with the cost of parking and another cost on topos that if you suffer from cancer and have to go on a daily basis lots of people working there it's not right

Absolutely disgusting that people working in the city and recieving medical care have to suffer more. It will stop others shopping there too
