It is quite simple. Green Belt land is just that, it is meant to be green. There is no need to build on it. The council can compulsory purchase unused land and houses from property developers in urban areas and redevelop it. Green Belt development is not an option. Stop looking at answers economically driven by property developers and listen to the people, which is why councils and MPs are meant to exist. No Green belt development. Thank you.

Greenbelt land the most prim agricultural land in the country. Duty of care to the people of Self ton re this violation of this land. Build on brownfield land there loads of it put money and a better way of life for people living near these brownfield sites. How will we feed ourselves on the future if this green belt is built on. Also concreting over it will cause flooding and untold horrors to the community. Its a big no to anyone who cares about our Environment.

Gemma Harpin

I disagree with building on green belt due to the effects on health, these including an increase in asthma due to pollution and negative effects on mental health. It will also increase the risk of flooding and have negative effects on wildlife.

Good afternoon. I would like to raise an objection to the above proposal for development of A1 agricultural land as stated below. This land as stated is level A1, this make it the best food producing soil in the country. Why would anyone wish to destroy it? The population of Sefton is remaining steady and therefore there is not the need for this massive development. I appears this planning is led by greed, Sefton council being rewarded to build or have built, houses. As these developments are on farm fields the only way to access them would be to put in more and wider roads, which means more land lost and more pollution. This area is a haven for wildlife, native flowers and a desirable location to escape rushing life for a short time. Currently there are 3000 unoccupied houses in Sefton. The money would be best spent on modernisation of these properties which would then rebuild the existing communities rather that trying to create a new almost artificial set up. The loopline and its fields alongside it are unusual almost unique. Why destroy this area and forsake other more suitable propositions? These objections are only some of the reasons why these developments should not go through. Simon Jennings 0151 222 2312

i am totally against building new property on prime farmland on the Green Lane fields in Maghull and Lydiate, as there are plenty of unused bown field sites in Sefton and up to 3000 houses unoccupied

We are totaly against building on green belt land at the back of the Crescent Maughull .we cannot get Home Insurance with it being a floodplain so building house on that land would be just plain greed ,without the effect on the wildlife out there .

I agree whole heartedly with the comments on this page under the heading "OPPOSE BUILDING ON GREEN BELT IN SEFTON". Mainly building on green belt when we have a declining population and hundreds of long term empty properties. Also under these conditions to go and build on valuable farming land when one day soon, with more and more 3rd world countries gaining prosperity, there will be a stampeed for food. We need to be less dependent on the outside world and where possible, especially in producing our own food, we need to be much more self sufficient.
