Edhi Foundation is a non-profit and a unique social welfare program. It was founded by Abdul Sattar Edhi in 1951 as one man operating from a single room in Karachi, Pakistan. This amazing foundation has over 300 centers across the country including centers all over the world providing 24 hour emergency assistance. The organization has held the Guinness record for world's "largest volunteer ambulance organization" since 1997. The organization also gave relief to the victims of hurricane Katrina. Some of their many services include shelter for the destitute, free hospitals, education, healthcare and orphanages. The noble and unassuming man was a living saint who has devoted his life to serve the mankind. He is worthy of recognition of his remarkable achievements specially as he is no more in this world to give his followers an inspiration to continue their work. it will leave a rare humanitarian legacy to continue long after he is gone. Let's all unite and sign this petition and make sure the Nobel Peace Prize Committee honor this man with the Nobel Peace Prize.

I was just rereading some of the stories people left in the comments section and it really hits home how many lives one person can actually change if they just decide to help when no one else will. I am still putting together a formal letter to the committee headquarters because even though it feels like a mountain of paperwork it is the absolute least I can do for someone who gave everything away for people he never even met.

Agreed but I think Nobel is nothing for what edhi sahab did for humanity ..... We can't sell his efforts to save humanity ...
The nobel committee really missed out by not giving it to him while he was still here. His work speaks for itself better than any award ever could.
This person deserve Nobel prize after what he has done for human kind specialy for the poor people great man r.i.p

He deserved noble price ..he is the gr8est example of humanity for this mean generation.

True legend. He spent his whole life helping people who nobody else would even look at. A real hero for Pakistan and the world.
