We oppose the proposed 7-Eleven gas station in the Bellamy Road community.

This petition opposes Rezoning Application RZ-STD 26-0481 in Hillsborough County, which would rezone 14702 Bellamy Rd and 5911 Ehrlich Rd from Agricultural Single-Family (AS-1) to Commercial Neighborhood (CN) to allow this development.

We oppose this request for the following reasons:

• Traffic & Safety: The project would increase congestion and introduce additional turning movements, including fuel truck traffic, creating safety risks at an already busy intersection.
• Neighborhood Compatibility: A gas station is incompatible with the established residential character of the area and would negatively impact nearby homes through increased noise, lighting, and activity.
• Infrastructure Impact: Local roads, schools, utilities, and emergency services are already under strain and may not support additional demand.
• Environmental Concerns: Development may impact wetlands and retention areas, affecting drainage, water quality, and increasing flood risk.

We respectfully urge the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners to DENY this rezoning request and protect our community.
