The proposed Kosher Beef Plant near Dwyer, along US 26, is not good for Platte County. The plant will employ 400 employees and slaughter up 3,000 head of cattle at max capacity. The negative impacts of this plant FAR outweigh any positive impacts it could bring to Platte County. Population issues, water usage and depletion problems, significant traffic increases, surging crime rates, waste management impacts, decreased property value, natural habitat consequences, viewshed disruptions, historic trail interference, infrastructure needs are just some of the problems this plant will bring to Platte County.
