IS WEST BERGHOLT A VILLAGE OR A SITE FOR COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT? “We object to the change of use of ‘agricultural barns’ at Hill House Farm, Colchester Road in West Bergholt to a trampolining centre for Bounceability Ltd. The use is clearly socially praiseworthy, but the company has an existing building in the town. The ‘barns’ are recently built, have rarely if ever been used for agriculture, have previously been used for business in breach of planning controls, and no reason is given or case made why the use needs to be on a farm in a village. We believe that this is property speculation using the name of a good cause. An appeal has been submitted and repeated planning applications are harassment.”
